Think twice, you may be putting yourself (and your bank account) to danger by choosing to rent these five (5) diving gears:
1. Fins
Diving fins that will give you powerful thrust underwater are extremely significant in the success of your dive, but another thing to consider when choosing diving fins is fit. Yes, you can find a fairly good diving fins on rental, but they might not be comfortable to wear during the dive. It is important that you are best friends with your fins so you will not have problems navigating once you are plunged into the abyss.
2. Mask
One of the joys of scuba diving is not only the feeling of flying underwater. The visual feast down salt water wonderland is also one of the greatest delight of diving. So why would you thrift on a diving mask when it can give you cinematic quality underwater?
3. Wetsuit
This is pretty basic. Thou shall not rent a wetsuit -- especially over-all types. It is like wearing the same underpants 50 other strangers wore. You get the picture? It is totally gross.
4. Snorkel
Don’t need to defend this, do I? Go for rental snorkels if you want an indirect mouth-to-mouth with strangers plus a bunch of diseases.
5. Dive Computer
If you do a lot of diving, it is better to purchase your own dive computer. It will help you cut cost on rental plus you can make sure that you know how to use your gear since it is with you all the time.
